Osseointegration Vignettes
Client: Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital / BLINC Labs (University of Alberta)
Context:
At the time, Osseointegration was being trialed in Canada as a new option for amputees. This transformative rehabilitation technology would allow amputees to have a rod surgically put into their residual limb, allowing them to physically connect with their prosthetic. This would provide them a greater level of feedback and overall quality of life.
The project funded three vignettes which followed three candidates from pre-surgery to post surgery. David and Matt’s story took place during covid and we had to make adjustments to our plans to capture their story due to surgery delays and restrictions.
Overall this was a very rewarding project to be a part of and see how this process transformed these individuals lives.
Goal: Capture “pre-surgery, rehabilitation, and post-surgery” based documentaries that covers the experience and transformation of three osseointegration participants.
Stephanie (6th), David (14th) and Matt (24th) are among the highest viewed videos out of 105 videos on the GRH YouTube page.
