Client: Prairies Canada / La Cité Francophone
Context: The Flying Canoë Volnat is a renowned multicultural celebration of winter held in Edmonton, Alberta. Prairies Can supported the festival by providing funding to create their unique canoe races. To celebrate this major event, La Cité Francophone asked to create a video for the event capturing the experience, and Prairies Can asked to create a testimonial video that showed their support in action.
Goal: Capture the experience of the Flying Canoe Festival and canoe races in an exciting way. Remix footage from the experience video to show PrairiesCan’s funding and successful partnership in the community.
Currently PrairiesCan video has 1.6k views on their YouTube page and is their 5th highest viewed video out of 59 videos.
Budget: Over $10,000 as a project
“Myles started with a clean slate in that we asked him to drop into the two evenings of the Canoe Races at the Edmonton Ski Club and to create an impactful, effective and exciting archival/promotional video.
The video he provided far surpassed our expectations in its visual content, creativity, storyline/storytelling as well as background music! He captured and presented the joy, exuberance, enthusiasm as well as the many subtleties, nuances and the scale and scope of the event.
